Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make further changes to the technical team with reserve team coach David Notoane earmarked for a new coaching position at Chloorkop.
Sundowns have suffered a huge blow ahead of the start of pre-season training after head coach Pitso Mosimane resigned to take over at top Egyptian side Al Ahly.

A few coaches including Benni McCarthy, Manqoba Mngqithi and Jose Ramon Alexanko have been linked with the vacant coaching position.
Current Sundowns head of technical Alexanko is understood to be a favourite to replace ‘Jingles’ having already worked with Notoane within the club’s development structures.

The former Barcelona captain and assistant coach was promoted to his new position at the same time as Mosimane signed a new four-year contract as recently as May this year, possibly indicating there was a succession plan already in place.
“The president is always in favour of developing local coaches. David Notoane is earmarked for a role in the senior team,” a source at Chloorkop confirms to KickOff.com.
“There are other changes that are going to be made in the management structure of the team,” the club insider adds.
