Did Ready or not Fugees copy a reggae song

I was listening to some reggae recently and I came across a song called Ready or Not by Johnny Osbourne (1975). The chorus sounds just like the ready or not by Fugees (1995). So I did some light researching and I couldn’t find anything on Fugees page about the reggae song. I know that there are some songs that sound similar, but both of the songs have the same chorus with the same melody and which seems like the same notes just maybe transposed. Any help would be much appreciated.
