Big fuel price increases from Wednesday

From Wednesday South African drivers will once again be met with substantial increases in petrol and diesel prices.

The Department of Mineral Resources Energy (DMRE) has verified that both grades of petrol will climb by R1.21 per litre, with diesel increasing between R1.06 (500ppm) and R1.19 (50ppm).

Following these adjustments, a litre of 95 Unleaded will be priced at R23.73 along the coast and R24.45 inland, while 93 Unleaded will reach R24.13. The wholesale price of 50ppm diesel will climb to R21.91 along the coast and R22.62 inland.

Illuminating Paraffin (Wholesale) will increase by 64 cents per litre, while Illuminating Paraffin (SMNRP) will increase by 85 cents.

The Maximum Retail Price for LPGAS will increase by 41 cents per kilogram.
