Dozens injured after train derails in Cape Town

More than 30 people were injured following a train derailment at Dal Josafat station in Paarl, Western Cape, yesterday evening.
Drakenstein Farm Watch (DFW), a private firefighting service, received an emergency call just after 6:30 PM alerting them to the incident. Upon arrival, DFW reported that at least 30 people sustained injuries, with several passengers initially trapped inside the train.
Rescue teams successfully extricated all trapped individuals, and fortunately, no fatalities have been reported. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
