Petrol price surprise for Easter

Getting to your destination this Easter could be considerably cheaper as petrol and diesel prices are set for a generous decrease next month.

The latest estimate from the Central Energy Fund (CEF) shows that petrol could see a cut of 95c per litre, while diesel could be lowered by between 93c and 95c a litre.

A stronger rand and much lower oil prices are to thank for this early Easter gift.

The final fuel adjustment will come into effect on Wednesday 2 April 2025.
