The George Community Police Forum (CPF) is appealing for the public’s help in locating 81-year-old Gert Hills, who went missing nearly two weeks ago, on Friday, 18 July 2025.
Hills, whose full name is Gerhardus David Hills, was last seen at around 19:00 at the Kleinbrak offramp on the N2, heading in the direction of George. He is believed to have been driving a silver-grey Nissan Juke with registration number CX14107. The vehicle has visible damage to the rear left bumper, including black scuff marks and dents below the tail light.
At the time of his disappearance, Hills was likely wearing a green jumper, grey tracksuit pants, and brown loafer shoes. He is described as tall and slender, with black and grey medium-length hair, brown eyes, and dark-rimmed spectacles.
The CPF says Hills is considered a vulnerable person, and there are growing concerns for his safety.
